Cocoa Beach, Florida, home to the famous Ron Jon's
Surf Shop, has been drawing beach lovers and
tourists for many years. Whether you fancy a lazy
day of rest and relaxation on the sand, fun in the
sun, or meandering through local boutiques, this
lovely part of Florida's east coast may offer
another draw for those of you planning a wedding.
Florida beaches make gorgeous backdrops for
exchanging wedding vows, and many brides and grooms
have chosen Cocoa Beach as the location for their
special day.
If you are considering having your wedding in Cocoa
Beach, here are some tips and food for thought as
you make your plans. Remember that Florida weather
is extremely unpredictable. During the winter time,
it is actually quite chilly, and the summer time can
be unbearably hot out on the sand--unless you're
wearing a bathing suit and dipping in the water! In
addition to this, sudden thunder and lightning
storms are very common, and there is always the ever
present possibility of hurricanes during hurricane
season.
While on an ideal day, the weather and scenery can
be picture perfect, this is never consistently the
case. For this reason, it is best to plan for an
indoor wedding, with the option of having the
ceremony outdoors--in case the weather permits.
Select a location that has a beautiful setting and
ambiance indoors--perhaps with an ocean view, and be
careful not to set your heart on exchanging your
vows on the sand. That way, if things do work out
for you to have the beach ceremony you always
dreamed of, it will be an added bit of joy for your
day, rather than a big disappointment if your heart
was set on it, and the storm clouds roll in instead.
While you are venue
hunting, take some time to consider other locations
here in Central Florida as well. There are many
beautiful spots that provide a variety of options
for your special day! Please feel free to ask for
suggestions, and I look forward to hearing from you
soon!
Sincerely,
Anna Maria
